Dentistry

A healthy smile can lead to a longer, happier life! Oral hygiene is the most neglected aspect of pet care.  It is estimated that 90% of pets over two years of age have significant dental disease. This should come as no surprise as the same conditions that lead to our tooth and gum problems also occur in our pet’s mouth.

Dental disease is one of the most frequently diagnosed health problems in pets. Our annual examination visits allow us to monitor dental health and make recommendations about preventatives to help delay future dental procedures. Dental health is essential to your pets overall health, as dental disease can result in infections in the heart, lungs, liver and kidneys, and can predispose animals to diabetes. We are able to perform routine dental cleanings, as well as dental radiographs or extraction of diseased or broken teeth when required. Digital dental radiography is a specialized form of radiograph that gives our veterinarians insight below the gum line, where dental disease can start before any obvious signs in your pet's mouth. We also offer Wellness packages with payment plan options for routine preventative dental care.
